I love October, love getting ready for Halloween. I especially love pumpkin patches. This year, Kekoa is totally into it too, which makes it all the more fun. Thursdays are "Thursday Fun Day", the one day during the week that we are completely free to do whatever we want. Today we spent our Thursday Fun Day at the pumpkin patch. I'm thinking it will be one of many we visit before the big day. The kids had so much fun. Kekoa was "lost" in the corn maze for quite awhile, having a really great time. It was so small, the perfect size for a 4 year old. There were also hay tunnels that were super fun for him, not so much for baby girl.
They both had a grand time climbing on the hay stack. Malia was trying to keep up with her brother the whole time. We ran into one of Kekoa's friends from preschool and he thought this was just the funniest thing ever. They played for awhile, the friend is a very outgoing little girl and kept saying, "Kekoa is here, Kekoa is here", it was pretty cute.
There was even a very small train to ride. Kekoa thought it was hilarious that it was just the caboose. This caboose was tiny and I had to ride too, can't Malia go alone yet. It was crammed full of other kids, good thing I had a view out the window or I would have gotten sick. It went around in circles a few times and there was a "geyser" that sprayed water out as we went passed. The kids thought this was a hoot and would scream each time.
The bunny and goats were a huge hit. Malia kept saying hi to the bunnies and getting frustrated because they would run away whenever she would try to run up and pet one. I felt bad for the bunnies, it must be stressful for them to have all the kids groping them all day long...but they sure were cute. Kekoa loved the baby goats, they were pretty cute too.
After lunch and a little more running around, we headed home. We didn't pick any pumpkins yet, but Kekoa is going to get a white one when we do. Can't wait to visit the pumpkin patch again!!

Kekoa climbed up this haystack with no problem. And then of course Malia wanted to follow...
