preschool "fun run"

"Let's just go, let's go run", Kekoa insisted all afternoon.

He was so excited for the Mulberry Fun Run...he had no idea what it really was, but if it entailed running and fun, it must be a good thing.

Friday isn't our normal day to go to school, but we came at 2:00 to run with the 4-day preschool class.  In Kekoa fashion, it took him a few minutes to take in the scene and figure out what he wanted to do.  On the drive over to the school, I talked to him about running with a pace, how he didn't want to run his fastest right away and then burn out.  He took all this to heart.  It was a little intimidating for him to run alone (there were some 4th and 5th graders running too), so Malia and I did laps with him.  Kekoa ran while holding onto the stroller as I walked quickly. He ran the whole time, it was really impressive...a good 10 minutes of running.  Afterwards all the kiddos got popsicles, which Kekoa devoured.

Later when I asked him what his favorite part of the day was, he said, "The Fun Run".

Snuggling with baby sister after the run.
She is not much of a snuggler.

Kekoa dyed this shirt at school, he is so proud of himself. All the kids were wearing tie dyed shirts at the Fun Run, but Kekoa didn't put his on until afterwards.  He is such a silly rabbit sometimes.

Look at that, my shirt is tie dyed.

Love my new shirt (don't mind the recycling bag in the picture)
