feeling great

I'm not sure what was going on, but I felt so good today, better than I've felt in a really long time.  I had energy and I didn't get any more sleep than I normally do...which isn't a whole lot.  Whatever it was, I hope it lasts.

It also helped that the kids were so good today.  He actually let me get some things done, like prepping for dinner, and waited patiently for me to play with him.  He wasn't so needy today, it was great.  While Malia napped, we played firehouse.  The couch was the  comfy, snuggly fire truck.  Kekoa made sure it had comfy pillows and books to read and even water to drink.  The other location of the comfy fire truck was his bed.  We laid in there for a long time, that is my kind of playing!! :)

After dinner (which both kids liked again, score for mama), we had a little dance party.  We had music playing during dinner (usually I am listening to NPR) and we were all singing and bopping to the tunes...especially Malia.  Kekoa actually danced, was showing off his moves.  Oh my gosh, it was the cutest thing ever and thinking of it makes me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  Usually dance parties are really just running around the house, over and over again, but tonight he was really dancing.  We then turned the living room rug into our dance floor, which was so much fun.

I wish all days could be this good.  This was one of the best days I have had with both kiddos, in a really long time....maybe the best yet.  It is amazing what it feels like to have energy.
