Kekoa has been telling me since August that he wasn't going to take a picture with Santa. We totally traumatized him the past couple of years.
So, this morning when we headed to Los Gatos, for pictures with the best Santa ever, I was pretty sure that Kekoa was not going to be taking a picture with him. He said he would take the picture if I took it with him too.
Imagine our surprise when Kekoa not only took a picture with Santa, but talked to him willingly. I wish I had a video of how cute and sweet he sounded.
Santa: "What is your name?"
Kekoa: no answer
mama: "He is scared of Santa."
Santa: while showing Kekoa his silver bells, "What is his name?", Kekoa is completely fascinated with the bells
mama: "Kekoa"
Santa: "Kekoa, what would you like for Christmas?"
Kekoa: "Buzz Lightyear and Action Chugger, Santa." (in the sweetest possible voice)
Santa spoke to Kekoa about listening on Christmas Eve and going to bed on time. It was just all so cute. Then Kekoa took a few photos alone with Santa and then baby sister joined in on the action. To everyone's shock she didn't cry or scream to be on Santa's lap. She was much more interested in touching the Christmas tree next to her.
Christmas is really a magical time of year. It is so special to have our kiddos to remind us of that magic again.
| Waiting so patiently for Santa. We waited in line for over an hour!! |
