The Fremont crew came over today to make Christmas cookies. It was the first time I made sugar cookie dough that had to be rolled out and cut into shapes. I love baking but am more of the drop cookie or bar cookie kind of girl. I have been looking forward to making Christmas sugar cookies with Kekoa ever since I found out I was pregnant with him. I made the dough this morning, which was surprisingly simple, just a whole lot of butter and sugar!!
Kaiwei was super anxious to get started. He had a lot of fun rolling out the dough and cutting out cookie shapes. Kekoa had fun squishing his piece of dough and getting all the little pieces everywhere. The cookies were a big hit. I think next time I will remember to make icing (oops) but no one seemed to mind.
