Happy Valentine's playdate

Happy Valentine's Day! Kekoa had a great and very early start to his day. He decided not to sleep so late today (woke up at 6:30, very early for him, but we didn't get out of bed until 7:20ish), he must have known there was a goodie box for him from Grandpa and Grandma. Inside there were....trucks, hooray! Kekoa was super excited and took his new ambulance with him to Costco this morning. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma.

Kekoa also got to play with his "new" castle for the first time. I scored this castle at a garage sale, for $2!! What a find. Kekoa kept himself entertained for a long time today. I was waiting for a rainy day to pull it out and today it was finally rainy again. Thank you baba for pulling it out of my car trunk!

Vroom, vroom. I love my new ambulance!

This afternoon though, was a Valentine's day treat for us. Ava and Auntie Cassie came over for a fun filled afternoon. Kekoa was thrilled to show Ava his new toys, the castle and the Spiderman tent (another garage sale find, $1!). Oh, what a absolutely fabulous time these two had with each other. It is the best they have ever played together. They usually go off and do their own thing, but this afternoon they were giggling with each other and goofing around. It made Cassie and I really happy to see them getting along so well. It was super hard to capture such moments with the camera. We also had a dance party, that left us all out of breath and with big smiles on our faces. And with the two kiddos playing so well, Cassie and I had time to chat, which was so nice.

I swear, any gloomy, rainy day, if you play "Jump the line" by Harry Belafonte, your spirits will be instantly lifted. All day Kekoa has been going to the computer and saying "sha, sha" (for shake shake...lyrics in the song) to request that I play the song. If it comes on and he hears it, he'll drop all his toys and come running to me so we can start dancing. It is adorable!

We really really really miss having them right next door. We were so spoiled for so long. We knew we would miss having such great neighbors, but at least we can still get together and have so much fun!
