I knew I shouldn't of written or even spoke out loud about Kekoa going to sleep with no problem. I totally jinxed it! I know we are not alone in this issue of having trouble putting our baby to sleep. It seems that is the number one topic of conversation at any mom groups I go to...sleeping. When does your baby go to sleep? How do you get your baby to sleep? How many naps does your baby take? For how long? The list of sleeping questions could go on and on, but I think you get the point.
I feel like Kekoa has actually regressed in his sleeping progress. He was falling asleep in the evening most nights without having to be wrapped up. Now I am lucky if he falls asleep without being wrapped up. The other night he woke up at 3:00 a.m. and couldn't fall back asleep, so after an hour, I actually had to Moby him at 4:00 a.m.!! That hasn't happened for months!
Naps? Forget it, he goes straight into the Moby or Ergo. Before, when he would stir in the baby carrier, I could put him down on the bed and he would nurse back to sleep. I can't remember the last time that happened.
Needless to say, I am soooo exhausted! I've decided that I must be able to operate with less sleep than most people? I function during the day like a "normal" person, I go for my run, play with Kekoa, do errands, etc. I'm doing all these things with very little sleep. When evening hits, the lack of sleep also hits me, but the next day I get up and I'm OK again.
And the added bonus is of course Kekoa. He smiles or laughs and all is forgotten. He is all worth it! :)
Mom's view of me sleeping in the Moby. Hard to believe I was just screaming, protesting going to sleep!

it will get easier, I promise. Hang in there :)
