In a good mood

Kekoa was in an especially great mood today. He usually wakes up making his "lion roaring" sound, but today he was so quiet. He is really into playing with my hands when he wakes up, after he has turned his head and stared into my eyes! He is now bringing my fingers to his mouth and sucking on them too! I had him sitting up on my stomach (we're practicing sitting up) and he just kept staring at Scott, patiently waiting for him to wake up. Scott must have felt Kekoa's eager eyes because he finally did wake up, which brought and instant huge smile to Kekoa's face!

I had a really wonderful morning with Scott and Kekoa. We went for a walk in the neighborhood. It was just so nice to spend time together before Scott had to go to work.
After he left, Kekoa and I sat on the porch for a long time. There are so many birds out lately, singing in the trees all around us. The symphony of sounds completely relaxed both of us as we watched the birds and the clouds in the sky. It was the first time Kekoa noticed the birds flying in the sky. He couldn't keep his eyes off of them. It seems like most of the time we are rushing off to go somewhere or there are always things that have to be done. Today it was nice to stop, relax, and really enjoy the moment. Kekoa was so snuggly, he was snuggling into my shoulder and neck. He is such a sweet little boy.

Kekoa was laughing all day long today too, more than usual. Every time I brought him to the changing table, he was cracking up. It was so adorable! His laughter is infectious and brings a huge smile to my face as I type this, remembering his mouth wide open with laughter!

Playing with one of his new toys that Santa brought. You can hear his lion roaring sound!
