On Saturday, Scott and I went on our first date since Kekoa was born. My dad, Jenny, and Kaiwei came over to babysit for us. We went to a 1:45 movie, "Up in the Air". I didn't think it would be so hard to leave Kekoa, but it was. It also didn't help that he didn't have a good nap that day and wasn't really nursing either. When my dad got to our place, Kekoa was screaming. My dad is such a trooper, put on the Ergo, put Kekoa in it, and kicked Scott and I out! I was a mess, but once the movie started, I was able to focus on something else. Scott also kept reminding me that my dad is one of the most patient people we know and doesn't mind a crying baby. It was also very reassuring to know that Kekoa was with family that loves him so much.
Jenny took many pictures and videos so I would know that Kekoa was OK while we were gone. (In case you are wondering, no, I did not ask her to take pictures, she is just thoughtful!)
It looks like he had a great time with all of them! When we got home, Kekoa was laughing , very happy in the swing! I don't think he missed us all that much!
Thank you guys so much for coming over. Scott and I had a great time together on our first date (BTW, the movie is really good)! :)
Where are my parents? How can Papa Beezy sleep through my crying?

Poor me!

Oh, maybe things aren't so bad after all!

I love Kaiwei in this picture. He is trying so hard to wriggle out of my dad's lap!

Hi Kekoa! When can you play with me? Kekoa says, "Say what?"

Here, let me turn on the swing for you!

Papa Beezy knows just how to make me laugh!

Just stop it already!

No, really, just stop!

You are so funny Papa Beezy!

Twins!!

Mom's home!
Kekoa and Kaiwei are twinsies! They look too cute in their matching outfits. Kaiwei was so patient while we took the video, just cooperated so nicely! :)
OMG, you guys are so cute. Kekoa is a doll! Love the pics of him and granddaddy. -Jen L.
ReplyDeleteHsiaolei, I am so happy that your Dad kicked you out! It is so important for you and Scott to spend time together sometimes. Kekoa also has to learn that mommy and daddy will not be there ALL the time. It will get easier as time goes on. :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Matching outfits! I'll have to let my mom know Kekoa had the same jumpsuit. She'll know she picked a cute one for Kaiwei. :) I totally know what you mean about leaving, but it's great that you had a good time!! You both deserve it!
