Dearest Malia Belle,

You are finally here and we are all so in love with you. Your ge ge, big brother, can't get enough of you. He loves and kisses on you so much and the way you look into his eyes is just amazing. You are equally infatuated with him. Your baba is going to be in trouble, he can't get enough of you either. You were able to spend all day today with your baba and you were loving it. He came to the hospital early this morning and didn't leave until dinner time. Such a special time for our family.

We get to home today. I have spent the last two nights with you in the hospital, such precious time, just me and you. You are the sweetest little newborn (so far). You are nursing like a champ already and oh, you melt my heart. You are such a snuggle bug and we have been falling asleep together when you nurse. I thought I would use the well baby nursery here, but I just didn't want you out of the room at night. I liked having you close. I love you so much Malia girl.

Your little faces you make are the cutest thing and so far you are not much of a crier. You do hate it when your diaper is soiled and will cry immediately, just like your ge ge did. When you get hungry, you lick your lips, but you don't get so worked up like your ge ge did. Boy, he would scream when he was hungry. You have also been sleeping a whole lot, which is normal, but you have had long stretches this second night in the hospital. The nurses told me you would be up all night nursing, but I actually had to wake you up around 1:00am because you hadn't nursed since 7:00pm!

Of course I am excited to go home with you today, to start our life as a family of four, but I will also miss having this special time one on one time with you. You are so loved by all your family Malia.
