2.1 years old

I am so relieved I can just say Kekoa is 2 years old now instead of remembering how many months he is. He is 25 months old or we can say he is 2.1 months old. :)
This is such a fun age, Kekoa is like a sponge, learning so many new things each day. His imagination is amazing and adorable. He will climb on the couch, get behind one of the pillows and tell me he is in the ocean. I ask him if he is seeing any fish, he will say, "yeah mama, fish in der"
He likes to show me all the cool things he is doing, "yook mama" (look mama) is a common phrase he says...always very proud of whatever it is he is doing.

Kekoa loves having friends and making new friends. If we see any little people when we are at the park or out and about, he always remembers...even if he didn't say one word to them. Whenever we have a playdate, that is his favorite part of the day, "see Noah" or "see Kaper, Mlan" is his response.

Kekoa has started school too. He loves it so much. He is definitely the cutest toddler on the block with his little Thomas the train backpack.

We definitely have a little monkey. He is climbing, hanging on whatever he can, running, and trying to skip. It is so fun to take him to parks and watch him go crazy on the play structures. It is also nice that he can go by himself now on the play equipment, well most of it. He is obsessed with slides, the faster and bigger the better. I love watching him hang on the little bars above the slide and then shooting down. The sofa in the apartment is always a really fun substitute for play equipment. Kekoa loves jumping and running on the couch...scary for mama, lots of laughs for him!

My little 2.1 year old is still so sweet. The "love cocoon" is still growing stronger each day. Kekoa loves to snuggle, give smooches, and runs into your arms for hugs. He is actually super momtastic right now, wow, can't let mama out of his sight for one second! It is like my 23 pound growth has returned! :)

I am amazed at how well Kekoa listens and follows directions. He is also quick to catch on when there is a consequence when he doesn't listen to what mama is telling him to do. He was throwing his trains all the time, so I finally told him if he throws his train, I'm going to take it. Well, he threw his train and I took it (set the timer for a minute...the longest screaming minute ever). After the minute, I told him to say he was sorry to the train and to me, and he could get it back. Kekoa did all this and hasn't really thrown a train since. He is tempted and I look at him and ask him if he wants me to take it away. He immediately says no.

Kekoa is still a great eater and a not so great sleeper! :) My question is, will this boy ever sleep? Or I guess I should ask, will I ever sleep again? Bedtime is a long process, a cute process, but very long. Kekoa is really snuggly at bedtime, loves his stories... doesn't love to have his diaper and pj's put on, but we get through it. He actually just wants me to hold him the whole time, a little difficult to do. Kekoa is taking baths again. We went through a short phase of only showers, but back to baths it is. He loves showing off his swimming skills (laying on his tummy and kicking) and having tea parties in the tub.

I am having so much fun with Kekoa. He is just sooooo cute right now. I mean, don't get me wrong, the "two's" definitely has some challenges, but I guess all the different stages have had challenges. One minute he is a happy camper and then the next he might have a complete meltdown....but that's ok. All the fun and cuteness makes up for any meltdowns. And when he runs up to me to give me a hug and a kiss, it is the best.
