Two weeks old

It's my birthday! Look for my video clip at the end of this post!
Auntie Nicole came to visit me and to cook mom and dad dinner! Thank you Auntie, please come back and play when I am more awake! :)
This is our buddha baby! Not only does he LOVE Scott chanting "Ohm" to him, his favorite sleeping position is his legs in Lotus!
So content with Po Po after a feeding.
This is where I spend most of my days, nursing. Scott is enjoying some bonding time with our little guy. Kekoa loves staring at the painting of the wave, either while he is nursing or when he is being burped. He is on Scott's chest just gazing at the painting.
I love my new toy. Thanks mom and dad for the birthday present!
All bundled up and finally NOT crying! :)
Chillin' in my swing, but not really sure if this is where I want to be right now!

I can't believe our little man is two weeks old now! He just changes so much every day. He cried his first real tears, which was so sad. :(
We all had a really great night and day, on Monday. He had his 2 week check up and we then all stayed at my dad and Jenny's house afterwards. Scott and I think Kekoa just really likes it at there because it is louder. Because Kaiwei is always on the move, there is a lot of action, people talking, and laughing. Kekoa was in the best mood all day Tuesday too. We had another appointment in Fremont with an amazing Lactation Consultant, Gail. Kekoa really enjoyed being in her calm and loving environment.
We headed home right after the appoinment with Gail. Kekoa continued to be good until his usual fussiness in the evening. I guess these hours are know as the "bewitching hours" to new parents. The thought is that babies just have a hard time adjusting to the change of day to night. In the day, Kekoa is usually an angel, sleeps, eats, and poops...just like clockwork. Then the bewitching hours hit and he turns into an inconsolable little guy. He then usually calms down again later in the evening.
Well, yesterday, his 2 weeks birthday, Kekoa decided to throw us for a loop and be fussy all day long!! Scott and I were like, " What happened??" I hadn't slept much the night before, because he really needed to be rocked to sleep after every feeding. I was planning on napping during the day, but that couldn't happen either because he was just so fussy. He had another visitor yesterday, Papa Pete and Kekoa decided to be on his best behavior after that. I did finally get in a nap in the late afternoon, and Kekoa was a little angel the rest of the evening.
I was even able to drive over to Office Max before dinner to pick up some things I needed. This was my second "excursion" out of the house without baby. The first one was to Longs. I got into the car, rolled down all the windows and the sunroof, turned the radio on so loud and drove. I never thought going to Longs or Office Max would be such a rejuvenating experience. The wind blowing, the music blasting, and me singing on the top of my lungs!! I feel so refreshed after these mini trips out!
I wrapped him in the Moby after dinner and all 3 of us went for an evening stroll in the neighborhood. (It was actually the longest stroll I've been on so far and I of course had to get a snack at Safeway in order to make it back home again!) Last night was the most perfect weather and the sky was just so gorgeous. The huge moon was out, there wasn't a breeze, it was just so warm, and all these gentle, pillowy like could would float in front of the moon. It felt like we were in a fairy tale.
After our walk, Scott and I sat on the porch and made shapes with the passing clouds. I can't express how amazing it felt to be outside on such a beautiful night. Kekoa was born on the new moon and now the moon is almost full.

13 days old in this video!
This is my birthday video! Mom hasn't figured out how to flip the video so I'm not sideways!
I'm finally sleeping and at peace on this big day!

This is my entertainment at my dad and Jenny's. Isn't Kaiwei adorable?
