We headed out early to a street nearby, it is closed off to cars and the houses go all out with Halloween decorations. It was pretty amazing.
Kekoa doesn't like big crowds and he was a little reserved, but was excited to trick or treat. He wanted to open up all his candy right away...he didn't understand why he had to wait until later. I know, it is crazy, but Kekoa hasn't had candy before!
About 15 minutes into trick or treating...which means we made it to about 3 houses...Kekoa was running across the street, tripped on shoes, and fell. His head hit the ground and skidded on the pavement. Poor baby! :(
There were plenty of tears and it put a damper on the night....he wasn't so much in the Halloween spirit after falling. I carried him down another block and then we decided we should head home. His face wasn't looking too hot and he looked like he was hurting.
By the time we walked home, Kekoa was feeling better and smiley again. We still had a fun evening...Scott and I were just a little bummed we only got a couple pieces of candy! :)
The making of a fantastic costume...

and mama the butterfly. :)
Ready to go trick or treating mama.
Kekoa was so excited to go outside and pose for a picture.

Two cutie astronauts. Kekoa is checking out Pablo...a little friend we see at the park all the time.
A little snack break.
It was the cutest thing when Kekoa would walk up and say "trick or treat".

Kekoa and ladybug Roseangela
Trying to get a better look at the dry ice smoke.
We all loved checking out all the decorated houses.
This house put on a dance show to Michael Jackson's Thriller...it was awesome! :)
Ready to go home.

A close up of Kekoa's battle wound.

Kekoa loved his first piece of chocolate...a Mr. Goodbar.

The best picture of the night!
I love hearing Kekoa say trick or treat. The neighbor down the street was fixing his truck and had a bowl of candy out for trick or treaters. Kekoa was in a better mood by this time and happy to get another piece of candy.
This time when he asked me if he could open the candy, I opened it for him. Mr. Goodbar...Kekoa's first taste of chocolate and he was in heaven.

Oh poor boy! What a trooper. Looks like he still had fun though.
