Look mama, no training wheels!

I can't believe it, our little man is riding a real bike, pedals with no training wheels!
I was tearing up when I first it happening, overwhelmed with emotion.  Truthfully, I was trying to hold it together and not completely start bawling.  I still remember learning how to ride a bike, my dad running along side me (I never had training wheels). I remember how it felt to finally get it, I was yelling to my dad" don't let go, don't let go" and all of a sudden he was running past me, not hanging on to the back of the bike...I immediately fell over. :)

I remember riding bikes with all my neighborhood friends, around the block and then we also had a "big block"...it was complete freedom.  Kekoa was a nonstop animal on the bike.  He didn't want to stop and the look on his face...pure pride.  We went around the block and then he kept circling from our house to a house around the corner that has a big driveway that he can turn around at.  He kept saying "again", I lost count of how many times he did this.  He rode for about an hour!

I am beaming my right now...so proud of our monkey.

Kekoa had no patience for Baba adjusting his seat.

sneaky snowmen

We don't have an elf on the shelf in this house, we have two sneaky snowmen.  Yesterday we found them on the couch reading a book about sharks and this morning we found them on the kitchen table eating Panda Puffs!  I wonder where they will turn up next??

little miss oatmeal face

The past few mornings Malia has been scarfing down oatmeal!  I am so relieved since this girl hasn't been eating much for the past few months.  And not surprisingly, she is in such a better mood when her belly is full.  Kekoa and I love watching her, scoop it up in her little spoon and shoving it in her mouth.  What she is really digging for is the blueberries!!  And if she happens to eat a huge bowl of oatmeal while digging for the blueberries...that's even better!

figuring out a puzzle together

I love moments like these, when I look around the corner and find these two playing together and it is peaceful!

When it is too quiet...

it usually means the kids are up to no good.  I was getting ready this morning and it was just too quiet out in the living room.  I came out and found the kitchen floor beautifully decorated with crayon!!  I thought for sure it was Malia's handy work, but no, it was all Kekoa!

I quickly googled "how to get crayon off linoleum" and the majority of the comments were the Mr. Clean erasure.  So before heading to CDM, we made a stop at Orchard for the Mr. Clean...it is a miracle!  The area where the crayon was is way cleaner then the rest of the floor, this Mr. Clean is on to something!!  I am just relieved it all came up with very little effort (Kekoa did help me clean it up)...and all before Baba came home from work! :)
