How is it possible to capture the magic of Christmas? All the stress and hassle of shopping and searching for the perfect gifts. All the crowds and waiting in lines. All of it is so worth it when you see your child's face completely light up on Christmas day..SO worth it! Christmas takes on a completely new meaning now that we have a son, it is the best.
I think on this Christmas morning, Scott and I were even more excited than Kekoa. Either that or he was just exhausted from waking up so early these past few days. We were up, bright and early, waiting for Kekoa to wake up so we could open up gifts. At one point Scott even said, "How about we each open up one of our gifts first?"
Kekoa finally woke up and the gift opening began...so much fun!
Hurry with that coffee!

We are tired, but so excited it's Christmas!

Good morning Kekoa! Rise and shine, it's Christmas morning! Kekoa just wants to snuggle with his lovey on Christmas morning.

What did Santa bring?

Could it be?

YES, the recycling truck!!

Vroom, vroom...

Thanks Santa...now I have all 3 trucks, the fire truck, the dump truck, and the recycling truck...i'm in truck heaven!

The dump truck is perfect to hold all my little cars and trucks.

The only picture of the 3 of us on Christmas...

The aftermath of opening presents...a gigantic pile of wrapping paper!

After opening presents, we tried to go for our Christmas morning hike. The weather had other plans in mind as it started to rain. This didn't stop Kekoa who insisted on hiking a bit longer. He had to go investigate a dog that he saw, it was chasing a frisbee and Kekoa was fascinated. We did a little loop before heading back to the car.

Kekoa went down for his nap when we got home and we anxiously awaited the arrival of the rest of the family. :)
