Swim lessons

Kekoa is still enjoying his swim lessons. He is a little fish and not scared of the water at all. He just jumps in the water, whenever he is sitting on the edge of the pool...he doesn't need me to bring him the water or anything! We look forward to our lesson every week. They teach us to tell the babies, "Elbows, elbows, knees, knees.", when they're getting out of the pool.
Knees, knees.
Trying to crawl away!
Hi daddy!
Come on in Kekoa!
Not yet mama!
Here I go!

Fountain fun

We had such a fun morning. After Kekoa's morning nap, we headed downtown for farmer's market. The little park where farmer's market is has the coolest fountain, just made to run through. A couple weeks ago, we went to the fountain with Kaiwei. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera. It was the cutest thing to watch Kaiwei running through, getting all wet...and then there is Kekoa. He has been so interested in this fountain since I can remember. I let him "walk" up to the fountain, not knowing what he would do, would he be scared? Oh no, our little daredevil went right in and got soaking wet. Good thing I had brought him a change of clothes. Both he and Kaiwei were drenched that day.
Well, we couldn't let Kekoa run through today, it wasn't that warm and he is getting over a cold. He was still determined to get to that fountain though. Scott and I had so much fun playing with him, near the water. He was so happy too, screaming with delight. It was one of those "mommy moments", when I get filled with so much gratitude and love, that I am a mother to such a special little boy.

Oh my gosh, get me to that fountain mama!

Ready...
Set...
GO!
Running through the middle!
Notice how wet my pants are! :)

Daddy's turn!
The fountain is so cool!
Let's go in...
Whoa, slippery!

Back to mama!
I love this one, you can see his lonely top tooth! So cute!

Back to the stroller!

Trying on hats

Kekoa received a bunch of hats from Kaiwei. Well, originally they were his cousin Jordan's, then the hats were passed down to Kaiwei, and now to Kekoa. We had him try on a couple today and he just looks too cute! Thanks for the cool hats!I don't really want this on!
Aaaaah, hat off. Look at the hair! :)
Oh no, another hat!
I can't see!
Looking tough! I just love his chubby little tummy and double chin!

A morning at the park

I was up bright and early this morning. Mama and daddy decided it was a Starbucks kinda morning and that we could go to the park afterwards. Mama wanted me to show off my new skills of scooting off the slide by myself to daddy. I wasn't so into that, but really enjoyed watching the big kids at the park and of course the swings. I love it when mama sings to me while I'm swinging, I just laugh and laugh and kick my legs. Mama and daddy said I am just too cute! :)
Mama trying to coax me down the slide...
I just want to stare at the big kids!
I love my daddy! Look at our eyes...so amazing!
Loving my daddy!

I want my daddy's glasses!
Got 'em!
Family close ups...

Daddy busted mama cleaning off my face with her spit! She didn't know he was filming and was trying to clean up my face for the pictures!

Hiking with mama and daddy

Yay! Daddy has the weekend off, these are the best weekends ever. Mama has been dying to take me hiking and today we finally went after my super long nap, 1 1/2 hours (go me)!!
I started off on her back, in the carrier and then was switched over to daddy. I had the best time out on on the trail. I was hanging on tight to the carrier and pumping my legs in excitement. I also kept mama and daddy laughing as I made raspberries all during the hike, getting my spit all over my face as I puckered my lips. The breeze felt so great blowing in my face and I just couldn't get enough of the fresh air. The trees were fascinating as they swayed in the wind, but my favorite thing was seeing all the doggies. I just LOVE doggies, my whole face lights up when I see one.

All ready to go...
Beautiful clouds...
Daddy showing me the rushing stream...
Could it be...
I think I see one...
Yes, it's a doggy! :) (notice how cute my hands are, hanging on!)
On the trail with daddy...
Some really nice hikers offered to take our family photo!
We are so far ahead of mama!
Waiting for her to catch up, she can't resist snapping some more photos!
Going up...
The bright orange California poppies were in bloom along the trail...
The magic tree that I've heard so much about. I guess last time I was here, I was sleeping in the Moby and missed touching it. Mama and Daddy love this Manzanita tree. The bark is so smooth and a deep red color.
Trying to put my finger in a hole...

We made it to the top!
Thanks daddy for carrying me to the top!
Before coming home from our hike, we went out for sushi. I was a big hit in the restaurant and the waitress couldn't get enough of me. I was famished after the long hike and devoured all my delicious homemade baby food, plus some tangy sushi rice.

Water please!
Yum, yum.

More food please mama, no more pictures!
What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I can't wait until tomorrow.
