rainy Sunday

The kids and I headed to the mall this morning, my least favorite place, but Kekoa was all excited about it since he rarely ever goes.  It wasn't crowded at all, probably because it was Superbowl Sunday.  The kids got to get some wigglies out and I was able to make some returns.  Kekoa loves the play area, he had a blast keeping up with the other kids that were there, some of them were definitely too big for the play area!

I don't want to share!!

Chinese New Year celebration

Happy Year of the Horse!  We had a blast tonight at my mom's house...lots of good food and so much fun to be with all the family.  The kids had the best time, running around and playing.  I so remember Chinese New Year as a kid, it was always a lot of fun and then falling asleep in the car.
My mom had the hot pot going.  The hot pot entails having a ton of veggies, fish balls, noodles, and very thinly sliced meats and fish, that all get put into a boiling pot of water. The fun part is to fish them out when whatever you put in the pot is cooked.  It is delicious, a lot of work, but super yummy.

Malia was being such a show off...she was super excited to be a nakie baby and was running around, even doing somersaults in the nude.

No hot pot for this little girl, just fruit please!

little gym

Saturday morning, while Scott and Kekoa were at Home Depot, I took my little girly to the Little Gym for a free class.  I wanted to see how she would like it.  Ummm, like it?  No, this girl LOVED it.  She jumped right in, was dancing, running around, walking across the balance beam like it was nobodies business.  Oh, she is just so different from Kekoa.  The teacher even commented on how comfortable she was and he was pretty impressed.  When we got home, she wanted to show off how she could do a somersault, which then of course prompted Kekoa to want to learn to.  She is just so darn cute.  After this session of music is over, I am going to sign her up for some gymnastics.  Who knows, maybe she will follow in her cousins footsteps and become this amazing gymnast?

She just loved the balance beam, this girl has no fear.  She even fell off once but just hopped right back on it.  She refused my help, little miss independent.

Home Depot

Scott took Kekoa on Saturday morning to a free building workshop at Home Depot.  He built a race car out of wood and was so proud of himself.  All day long he has been playing with it.  I love his orange apron, so awesome!
He really enjoyed having some special time with just his Baba.

Field trip to Pizza My Heart

Kekoa had his second school field trip today to Pizza My Heart.  It was so much fun.  The kids all got t-shirts, a tour of the kitchen, and made their own pizzas...bonus was it was all free!

Kekoa had a blast.  My favorite thing was listening to Kekoa laugh at the jokes of the guy at Pizza My Heart that lead the field trip.  He was hilarious and Kekoa couldn't stop giggling.

Afterwards we headed to the park where Kekoa ran and ran and ran.  We both came home with smiles on our faces.

Most of the kids couldn't wait to put on their t-shirts but not Kekoa.

pizza flinging

Very serious when making his pizza.

Too busy coloring to eat any pizza.  He didn't eat it until we came home!

At the park...
