Kekoa's Thursday at school

Playing in the restaurant...

 Lots of Legos....

Miss Dahlia, my buddy at school.  I love hearing her say, "Kekoa's mommy"

A little art work.  Teacher Sally had to force Kekoa over to complete his Valentine's card.  This boy does not love doing art!

more fish please

Tonight at dinner, Malia was grabbing her food off the spoon and shoveling it in her mouth.  Ok, I guess this girl wants to feed herself, so I broke up little bits of fish and put them on her tray.  She was SUPER excited and loved feeding herself...so different from Kekoa, who didn't like getting food all over his hands. :)

I love how hard she is concentrating, so determined to get the fish in her mouth.

handyman

Kekoa and I "played tools" after his afternoon snack today ( of cornball snowballs...Baba squeezes the cornbread into little balls for Kekoa).  He was so cute..."we have to fix the wall mama, come one", as he hammered at the wall.

When baby sister takes her afternoon nap, mama and Kekoa get to play, read stories, and snuggle on the couch together.  Once in awhile, I get to shut my eyes for a few moments too, before Kekoa says, "mama, you feel SO much better now?"  (that is what I tell him, that I need to shut my eyes for a few minutes so I'll feel better)  It is our special time together and we both cherish it very much.

riding horses

I had a dentist appointment early this morning, but promised Kekoa we would go somewhere when I got back.  When I walked in the door, he told me he wanted to go to the new park with the ramps (Paul Moore Park).  He was excited to bring baby sister there too.

Both kiddos got to ride their own horses, Kekoa goes CRAZY on the horse, Malia was just excited to be hanging onto hers.  It is so fun that she can start doing more things at parks now.

It really is amazing to watch Kekoa and what he can do at the parks now.  He climbs on everything, pretty much by himself.  He jumps like crazy, off of the steps, but isn't a daredevil or anything...he knows his limits.  He loves going down the slides on his tummy and runs and runs and runs.  Malia and I were chasing him today, trying to catch him, but he is just way too fast. :)

that face

The past few days, Scott and I have tried desperately to try and get a picture of Malia's cute puckered lip face.  We didn't quite get the cute face, but did get some pretty cute pictures.  Yes, they are all of her in the high chair...it is where she loves making the cute face.
