Happy birthday Baba!

All Scott wanted to do for his birthday was relax and do nothing, so it was his perfect day!
Kekoa was all over him all day long, giving him lots of Baba love. I practiced with him this morning, saying "happy birthday baba", which he did, first thing when he saw Scott.
We went out to Korean BBQ for dinner.
Malia was a little angel, sleeping through the whole dinner and all the way home. I hope she is always this easy to travel with.
Happy birthday Scott! You are the best husband and baba ever. We love you with all our hearts! xoxo

Roaring Camp with Grandma and Grandpa

What a treat...we went to Felton and rode the big "steamie" train, through the peaceful redwood forest.
Kekoa was actually a little bit nervous about it, hanging on tight to Baba's hand. The only place he wanted to sit was in the caboose.
Once the train started rolling, he was more comfortable and in steam train heaven. Grandpa used to drive steam trains and I don't know who enjoyed the day more, Kekoa or Grandpa! :)

It was Malia's first train ride and she slept the entire time. Kekoa conked out in the car on the way home. When we pulled into the driveway, he woke up, and in his dreamy state told me, "mama, I like to ride the train." Hmmmm, I think I can guess what he was dreaming about! :)
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful morning.

Kekoa was a super ham today, very into taking pictures!

dinner out

Tonight was Malia's first dinner out. She is such a good baby, nursed and then went to sleep. As always, Kekoa was great too, he just loves going out to eat. We all enjoyed ourselves and the walk back to the car afterwards. Kekoa had Paulie with him, running with him down the sidewalk of downtown. It was quite hilarious. :)
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

Baba caught off guard by the camera, Kekoa being a ham and saying "cheese"

4th of July afternoon

The Fremont gang came out for BBQ and some pool time.
I love how Kaiwei got into the pool with all his clothes, then Kekoa followed, then Scott. Jiawei said forget it and played on his own, away from all the craziness! He did decide to join in later, after the two big boys had shed all their clothes and were nunie boonies.
What a really fun day we had! I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July too.

Believe it or not, this was my hat when I was a baby!

Hello popsicle face.

I love Mackie's handkerchief he has hanging out of his pocket!

Kekoa also has popsicle face! :)

Brentwood sweet corn....the best!
