pink clothes

My friend Jen gave us a whole bag of baby girl clothes...wow there is so much pink! We are so appreciative of all the clothes. Kekoa was also very interested in the big piles of pink clothes on the floor. He took one of the little onesies, brought it over to my belly and said, "this for zamboni when comes out." I thought this was so sweet.

mama goes to yoga

Last night I went to prenatal yoga and Kekoa had his first night with Mia, our new babysitter. She is awesome and we are so lucky to have her come watch Kekoa. Kekoa was upset when I got home, but only because he thought I wasn't going to come home to put him to sleep. Once he calmed down, he started telling me all about what he and Mia did, couldn't stop talking about her. Then the first person Kekoa talked about this morning was Mia. I think it is a great sign! :)

SF zoo with Annika

Oh, Kekoa may have a new love...Annika. We met my friend Jen, and her two adorable kiddos at the SF zoo today. Funny, because Kekoa was just asking me yesterday if we could go to the zoo.
Kekoa did his best to keep up with Annika, which proved to be difficult with his shorter legs!
The cutest thing was when he took her hand. He was all smiles...just loved it.
Thanks for a really fun day!
As I was putting Kekoa to sleep tonight, he couldn't stop talking about his day at the zoo. He was having a hard time remembering Annika's name (I think because we were calling her Ani and it sounds like Ori), so he was calling her "Oregon". "I had fun at zoo with Oregon" :)
Kekoa definitely needs to see Annika again, sooner than later.

Kekoa was SO sad that Scott had to run back to the car to get the stroller. The world's best pouty face!

Once inside the zoo, he was just fine. Kekoa and Annika had so much fun climbing on the lion. I couldn't choose which funny face picture to post.

Inside the petting zoo area...
Kekoa checking out the pigs. He was actually much more fascinated with their poop on the ground then with the pigs. He kept asking me "That their poop mama?"

He also got to brush a goat,

and help sweep.
The squirrels at the zoo are crazy. There were 3 squirrels in our stroller, attacking it and trying to steal our food out of a sealed backpack. Somehow they managed to grab Kekoa's milk box out. They are so aggressive.

This peacock was so brave. I wasn't sure if it was going to try and snatch Kekoa's sandwich. I had to shoo it away.

A little snack....
and then holding hands! :)

Look at the bears!

A smoochie for the bear.

And of course there is baby Benjamin...such a cutie pie!

back on naps

Kekoa is back on naps (knock on wood). After that exhausting week of no napping, he is back at it. Yes, this makes bedtime a little bit longer, but I'm OK with that. I am actually the one who desperately needs a nap in the middle of the day. Some days I can't even keep my eyes open, I just can't wait to lie down and rest.
Kekoa does better with a nap too...he just a happier guy. His naps vary in length, some days they seem to be a bit shorter. He is going down by 1:00 and usually wakes up before 3:00, but that is OK too. I am so happy to be getting some shut eye myself.

diaper time

Kekoa is funny every day, but today he was especially hilarious. We were getting ready to go out to dinner, when Kekoa pulled out all the diapers from his box and brought into the living room to change the pampers on his stuffed animals. It was so funny watching him and hearing him talk to them. He says exactly what we say when we are changing his diaper!
