Kekoa is in love..it is official. We have a new neighbor downstairs, Leah and Kekoa is SO smitten. I actually can't believe I haven't blogged about this before. We are so happy to have new neighbors that are super nice.
He hears her downstairs and his whole face lights up. The two of them are adorable together. It is like they had instant chemistry. The first time they met they were instantly friends. They play very well together. I'm bummed I didn't get some pictures of when Leah came over to our place to play. The two of them were all snuggly in Kekoa's bed, it was so cute.
We took Leah and her mama Lina to Bachman park...their first trip. The kiddos had a great time playing together.

Kekoa loves blowing spit bubbles with his water...especially before bed, when I'm trying to put his pj's on. :) He is a professional staller! (I know "staller" isn't a real word but it is so fitting)

"babberies"

The last few days Kekoa has been getting up late for his nap...around 4:00! Since it gets dark so early now, this doesn't leave us time to go to the park. Instead we have been going for walks around the neighborhood, in his red car, and playing ball in the carport. Today Kekoa was crushed that one of his cars wasn't working. It needed new "babberies mama" (batteries mama).
I said, "How about after your snack, we walk up to the store and buy some batteries?"
Kekoa answers, "No mama, airplane has babberies." (His toy airplane did have batteries, but we had already taken them out to use in other toys...but what a smartie pants for remembering!)
We checked the airplane...no batteries inside.
Then Kekoa says, "Go to Safeway mama, get babberies" (I just LOVE the way he says babberies, it is so adorable)
So off to Safeway we went, in his little red car.
Once inside Safeway, we locate the batteries.
"Here Kekoa, would you like to hold the batteries."
"No mama, I driving!"
"Oh, ok, let me know if you want to hold them."

This lady walking by couldn't get over how cute Kekoa was in his little car and telling me that he is driving!
He was in a picture taking mood today too, full of "cheese".

What did Kekoa want to do when he woke up from the nap? Go to the "da ya ya" (the children's museum)!!
There is a new exhibit there and Kekoa couldn't wait to ride this chicken.

perfect beach day

Imagine the perfect beach day...and it is at Ocean Beach, San Francisco.
We couldn't believe our luck, 74 degrees on the beach in San Francisco...this never happens! Scott had the day off and we headed to SF for a surf contest. I'm pretty sure it was the best weather of the year, it was our first sunny beach day in a long time. It was so nice to be on the beach. I just kept thinking how lucky we are to have such a mellow little guy, Kekoa just sat and played by himself in the sand the whole time we were there. We definitely have a beach baby!
It was such a relaxing day.

We had breakfast at the Beach Chalet. It was awesome because we could see the surf contest from where we were sitting.
I think Kekoa liked it...what do you think?

I know Scott was excited! :)
