On our way to Carmel today, we stopped at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Kekoa had a great time exploring with Grandma and Grandpa. It was such a gorgeous day too. The sun hasn't been shining on the coast this summer, so it was a real treat.
Ready for lunch mama. The prettiest eyes. Meet Puffy the puffin. Kekoa loves the puffins so his thoughtful grandparents got him this cute puffin stuffed animal. Thanks Gma and Gpa! Kekoa is so amazed by the big wave of water that comes rushing out. Kekoa wants to show Puffy the big wave... I was very proud of Kekoa for not trying to throw Puffy in the water! Kekoa says enough pictures mama, down! Kekoa loves to touch all the different sea stars, some so soft and others spiny.
At long last, the day Kekoa has been waiting for...Grandma and Grandpa are finally here, all the way from Houston, Texas!! He was standing by the screen door, waiting for them to come in, so excited that they were here to see him. We are all excited that they are here. Tomorrow we all head to Carmel for a couple of days of rest and relaxation...is that possible with a toddler? We shall see! :)
Why are we "The Hapa's"? Hapa in Hawaiian means half. I'm a hapa girl, half Chinese. Together we are the Hapa's, half Hanson and half Parks. The "ha" is pronounced like something is funny, ha, ha, ha. The "pa" is pronounced like the "pa" in papa.
