Welcome home

Before heading all the way home today, we stopped in Fremont for a much needed break. Kekoa and Kaiwei were over the moon to see each other. They were as cute as ever. We were all so excited to see each other. We missed everyone!

Sharing beer from Oregon!

Sundial Bridge

Before getting in the car for another 5 hours today, we headed over the Sundial Bridge. Redding sure is hot. It was only 10:00 in the morning and already boiling. The bridge was definitely worth going to. It was my second time there and it was just as amazing as the first time I saw it. What is so fascinating is actually the Sacramento River that the bridge is built over. It is such a long river, winds so far before dumping into the delta and finally the San Francisco Bay. Pretty long journey!
Kekoa loved running across the bridge and couldn't believe his eyes when he looked up to see the huge sundial. He thought it was an airplane.

This was really cool. If you put your ears to the cable and then tap the cable, it makes a really funky sound.

Scott really enjoyed watching the boats. The guys on the boats were fly fishing.

Oh WOW!

Underneath the bridge is just as amazing. The best part is the cool breeze off the Sacramento River...like air conditioning!

A little R & R

Kekoa loves staying in hotels. He makes himself right at home, really enjoys exploring the new place. This morning, I peaked around from the bathroom and here was Kekoa, totally relaxing on the bed, reading his "choo choo Thomas" book. He was in no hurry to leave at all!
The best part of staying at this hotel? Definitely the pool. It was so nice to cool off and swim around after the long car ride.

We left Kekoa's baseball hat in Bend :(
Kekoa was so excited to be wearing mama's hat! :)

Two little snuggle bunnies

A few times when we were in Bend, after Kekoa had woken up from his nap, Delilah would come in with me to have our after nap snuggle time. She was so sweet, copying whatever I did. I would stroke Kekoa's head and back, she would do the same. I would give him kisses and she would do the same.
Kekoa loved seeing her too. It was like they really missed each other during his nap time!
What are they going to do when we leave?

Bye bye Bend

Boo hoo, we have to head back home today...vacation is coming to an end.
JoAnna was so nice this morning and took the kids to the park. They had the wagon filled with the entire Sesame Street Gang.
I know that Kekoa is going to miss playing with Delilah so much. He has grown up so much this week, becoming more and more like a little boy with each passing minute.
Scott and I will miss everyone too. It is so hard to live so far away from such great friends. Thank you guys for a wonderful week...we hope to see you all very soon. xoxo
