We made it!

We made it to Bend. Yay!
It was love at first sight for Delilah and Kekoa. They were instant buddies, it was like they play every day with each other. They are inseparable, even took a bath together. Delilah was pretty upset she couldn't go to sleep with Kekoa too!
We are so happy to be here. It is going to be a fun week!

Ready to go mama

Kekoa is ready to get on the road and see Delilah. He is munching on some "boo boos" (blueberries) and sitting in the "Da chair" (big chair).

Bend here we come...

We left this morning for Oregon. We are breaking up the trip into two days. Today's destination was Redding. Mission accomplished. It was a long hot drive, made me very thankful we have air conditioning. We had our first stop at the Nut Tree. It was SO hot, the heat hit us like a ton of bricks as we opened the car doors. Kekoa was super excited when he saw the train there so of course we had to go for a ride. He was over the moon to ride a "choo choo Thomas", in fact he was so excited that he didn't take a nap the entire rest of the drive...3 hours more to Redding.
Redding was beyond hot, 101 degrees. As soon as we checked into our hotel room, we hit the pool. Kekoa couldn't wait to go "swimming". He was adorable in the pool, so happy to be swimming with his mama and baba.
After an interesting dinner at Applebee's, Kekoa was ready to go to sleep...he kept saying "sleepy with mama". We all went to bed together at around 7:00! It had been a long day.

Please mama, can we ride the "choo choo steamy"?

"All aboard"

Waiting so patiently for his turn on the train!

"All aboard" (check out Kekoa's rosy cheeks...it was sooo hot!)

All done and checking out the "choo choo steamy"

Bye bye Nut Tree.

Tennis anyone?

Kekoa grabs my headbands and says "mama hep out" (mama help me put on the headband, which he calls "out" because he is always telling me to take it out of my hair!). Scott commented that he looked like a future tennis star. I think he looks hilarious. He insists on wearing them everywhere, even into the shower.

We'll miss you Freddy

We are off to Oregon today, visiting best friends and Kekoa's betrothed, Delilah. We are all super excited to go on vacation, not so excited about the long drive though! 10 hours of driving, but we are breaking it up into 2 days. Wish us luck in the car! :)
We'll see you when we get back Freddy!
