Kekoa is a little brainiac! I swear, he is so smart. He is now saying the ABC's with us. It is pretty amazing and actually almost brought tears to my eyes. I have been singing them with him whenever we wash our hands and when he is brushing his teeth. He also has a few books with the ABC's that we sing. One of his favorite books right now is an alphabet book from the library with animals in it. He also loves to look at his alphabet cards. Of course when I tried to get it on video, he got camera shy!
Today was the first day that Kekoa climbed up the stairs, by himself, while counting to 10 in Chinese. I started with 1, and he then he said 2, I said 3, he said 4...and so on! Pretty awesome!! Also pretty awesome that he can climb the stairs all by himself now!
Climbing the stairs...
Last night, after his bath, Kekoa was really talking to me. I mean, he talks all the time, but it was the first time he told me all the body parts on his own. I always say them, and he repeats after me, or ask him where they are and he points. This time he was pointing to his eye, and then saying eye (in Chinese). He went through all the parts he knows. I was so impressed!

Avocado shake please
The past couple of days, Kekoa and I have been enjoying avocado shakes for our afternoon snack. Kekoa loves to help me make them. He is the best at pushing the start button on the blender!
Today he actually went to the chair and tried to push it over to the blender. Of course we both enjoy our shakes with a straw! Yummy!

After the storm
We have been pounded here with rain, it has been raining nonstop for a week now. Today we went out to see what the damage was and how high the water was in the creek. It is no longer a creek, it is like a rushing river. We have never seen so much water in the 5 years we have lived here. Crazy!
It was so nice to have the sun out. We were even able to take Kekoa on the train and play at the park! Woo hoo!

Kekoa is so good at procrastinating when it is time to go upstairs for a nap! :)

Tea Party
Friday, March 25th
This afternoon, Kekoa invited Paulie, Mr. Pickles, and Gorilla to his first tea party. It was really cute. I taught him how to make tea and how to pour it into the cups. He decided it would be better to use the tea pot as a plant waterer. He walked around the apartment, pretending to water the plants. He then sat down, with a look like he was trying to figure something out. He said "wa wa" (water) a few times, while pointing to the tea pot. Then, it was like a lightbulb went off, he ran over to where his water bottle was, grabbed it and came over to try and squeeze the water into the tea pot. It was so smart!
After getting a little upset that the tea party was with pretend tea, Kekoa got really into it. He helped his "friends" drink tea, even stirred their cups, and decided he wanted to snuggle up with Gorilla.
Oh, mama has had to be very clever on finding ways to pass the time during these horrible rainy days!! :)
Having a little bit of a meltdown because the water won't go in the teapot!

Have some tea Gorilla!

Paulie gets some tea too!

Try some sugar Gorilla!

Eat the sugar!!
Kekoa wanted to come and snuggle up next to Gorilla! Remember when Kekoa was so small next to Gorilla? Now he is such a big boy!
