North Shore here we come...
We are on our way. Can you see the stress in Scott's face? He definitely doesn't want to be taking pictures! :)
Today is the day Scott and I have been counting down for, our first family vacation. 15 days in Hawaii, woo hoo! Cassie took us to the airport (thank you), bright and early this morning, 7 am! Today was one of those days where everything just went perfect. Kekoa woke up this morning all by himself, we didn't even have to wake him. We got out of the house on time and Kekoa was so cute in the car on the way over to the airport. He was still very sleepy and had this dazed look in his eyes. There was absolutely no traffic on the freeway because of the holiday, so we got to the airport on time and with no other cars on the freeway!
Scott and I were amazed at how much stuff we have. Traveling with a baby is something else! We are so proud of ourselves for getting all of the stuff checked in and getting the rest of the stuff onto the plane without a hitch. Before boarding the plane, I asked if there were any empty seats and if we could have one of them. I'm so glad I asked because we got to have an extra seat, which meant more room for all of us.
Kekoa was amazing on the plane. His favorite thing to do on the plane was flirting with all the flight attendants. He was making all of them laugh and I can't count how many times we heard, what a cute baby you have!
He kept busy with his books, Lulu, and of course he nursed a whole lot. He slept during take off and then again when we landed. We tried to get him to nap again during the whole flight and of course he fell asleep when we landed. We were at the back of the plane so it took awhile for everyone to get off the plane. We let him sleep through all of this and then I carried him through the airport, sleeping! It was the cutest thing. I felt like such a mommy having him asleep on my shoulder.
Scott and I both are so proud of Kekoa and how awesome he did on the flight. He not only did amazing in the plane, but then was a complete trooper in the car too. It was another 30 minute drive or so to the place were staying at. I figured Kekoa would be so tired he would have a melt down in the car. I was wrong. Kekoa was the opposite of grumpy, he was super exctied to be somewhere new. We have a little traveler! Yay!
We are all so excited to be here. Hawaii is so beautiful. It really does feel like home. I can't wait until tomorrow to take Kekoa to the beach.
Loving Lulu!
Sleeping during take off. It was really sweet, Kekoa hasn't fallen asleep like this since he was a newborn!
Passed out! Who would of ever thought that Kekoa would be able to sleep like this, while walking through the super loud airport? Not me!
Fun on the plane....
