The trip was a total and complete success! Kekoa went across the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time and we stopped on the Marin County side, at the lookout, for a break. It was amazing to break through the dense fog on the bridge into the warm sunshine. We busted out Kekoa's little wagon so he could get some energy out. I heard a lady say, "Well, I think that is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen" when she spotted Kekoa pushing his Radio Flyer. He did look pretty darn cute. After we left, Kekoa slept in the car, for an hour! It was during his regular nap time and I was crossing my fingers he would sleep, but I didn't think it would really happen!
Kekoa was a little freaked out from the fog on the bridge and the dark tunnel...

Crashed out after all that walking around.
He had the BEST time up there, meeting everyone and flirting with all the little girls. He was the only boy for once. The house was so amazing, so relaxing, and just what we all needed. We ate yummy food and drank yummy drinks. The previous owner was an artist, so there was all this super cool art everywhere. Kekoa really loved checking out the interesting paintings and statues. He also just loved being outside, pushing his little wagon around the yard. The house was completely kid friendly, new toys for Kekoa to play with, which he really enjoyed.

Ready to get in that beautiful water!

Looking for airplanes. There were these two airplanes flying so low on the tree line. They were doing circles in the sky and Kekoa was going crazy every time one of the planes circled around.
What is this?
I LOVE it here!

Hmmm, is sand any good?

Thanks for reading with me Kathy!
On Saturday, JoAnna and family had to leave early :( We were so sad to see them go. We decided to leave after Kekoa's nap. The day was beautiful, just perfect, and we wanted to spend a little more time on the river. After Kekoa's 1 hour nap, we took him in the canoe for a little ride. It was so peaceful out on the water, but Kekoa was making me very nervous. He wanted to jump out of the canoe and into the water! After we let him get his feet wet he was fine, relaxed and enjoyed the ride.
Ready for my canoe ride.
After the canoe ride, we packed the car, and headed home. We drove home a different way, the road hugged the beautiful river and there were all kinds of people enjoying the gorgeous day. Scott and I were a bit nervous, thought Kekoa would have a melt down on the long car ride home, but he did fantastic. Cheerios were the perfect distraction, along with his stuffed animals and books!
People say it gets easier as your baby gets older. I didn't know what they meant until this trip. There is no way we could have had such a successful and relaxing trip when Kekoa was younger. He was too hard to get to sleep and had to nurse all the time. He definitely wouldn't sleep in the car and was taking so many more naps than he does now. It is also so much fun to see him taking everything in, he is so excited to go to new places. Let's just hope he is this great on the 5 hour airplane ride to Hawaii!
It was so incredibly wonderful to spend time with JoAnna and her beautiful family. I wish they didn't live so far away. Thank you Gina and Dan for having us!
