Now that Kekoa has mastered standing, he is onto the next thing...walking. We went to the park today and it was the first time he was not content crawling on the play structure. He wanted me to take his hands and walk with him!! We walked back and forth many times. Cassie has already warned me to be careful of my back (thank you).
He also loves crawling up the steps, all by himself. Oh, our baby boy is growing too fast!

Zucchini nuggets
I found this really yummy recipe for zucchini nuggets. I've been inspired to try to make some new and interesting things for Kekoa to eat, since he has been protesting eating. Maybe he needs some new flavors and textures. My friend reminded me to not stress about his change in appetite, that eating is supposed to be fun right now, a chance for Kekoa to explore with food.
Turns out he loves the zucchini nuggets, gobbled them up yesterday day and tonight for dinner. I decided to give him a whole nugget to see what he would do. First he looked at me, just to make sure he was supposed to have it. He picked it up and took a huge bite, too big for him and spit it out. Then he started to squish it in his hands. At this point, he was done eating dinner anyways and was having fun.

Yum yum, Ethiopian food
We celebrated Jenny's birthday yesterday at an Ethiopian restaurant. Kaiwei was SUPER excited to see Kekoa and these two boys were just too cute in their high chairs. After we ate lunch they were playing together and making us all smile and laugh. Kaiwei has so much love for Kekoa that he was putting his hands on the side of Kekoa's cheeks and giving him big squeezes! We had to remind him to be gentle!

Kekoa was having fun playing with his placemat and Kaiwei decided to join the fun!

Standing master
Kekoa is now a standing master. It is just amazing how quickly he progresses! Yesterday Scott told me to "come quick, run", so I ran into the bedroom to find my little baby boy standing on the bed, all by himself! He was so proud and had a huge smile on his face. Scott kept telling him to do it again and he would, just loved that he could stand on his own!
He also walked yesterday with the help of only one hand! Good job Kekoa! We are so proud of you baby! We better watch out, you're going to be walking in no time!
