Happy Birthday Papa Beezy!

On Sunday we threw my dad a birthday party! About 30 or so people came to help celebrate my dad turning 70! I can't believe my dad is 70. He definitely doesn't look 70 and is still so active. I love and admire my dad so much. He was resistant to having a party, but ended up having a good time socializing and relaxing on such a beautiful warm day. It was fun having so many people gathered for such a joyous occasion. I couldn't believe how many kids were there. It brought back many memories of being the kid at adult parties and having a great time running around with the other kids there. The party was a success...yummy Chinese food, rich German chocolate cake, creamy ice cream, and wonderful company.

Before everyone came...

Coolest hair award

Everywhere Kekoa goes, people compliment him on his hair. Young and old, men and women, have all told us how much they love Kekoa's hair. I have had people follow me in the parking lot to tell me how cool his hair is, even young guys follow me in the grocery store to tell me how much they love Kekoa's skater hair do. One mom told me that she hopes I am taking a lot of pictures of his cute hair...oh yes we are! :)

Look at how much my hair has changed...

Perfect mohawk. I remember Scott would try and brush it down, just to see if it would stay. He would even wet the hair and as it dried it would stick straight up again! We even wondered if it would stay in a mohawk forever!

This is my dread lock phase! Daddy says these look like rat turds.
I love this. It looks like he is posing.

so lucky

Scott and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful, sweet, loving, smart little boy. I couldn't resist taking some pictures of him after he woke up from his very short afternoon nap. I love his face when he just wakes up, rosy cheeks and a look of wonder in his eyes. I weighed him today at a friends house, any guesses?
He weighs (with his outfit on), 17 pounds and 10 ounces. No wonder why our backs are killing us and my arms are getting so strong! :)

Look at me go...

Today while I was getting my hair done ( I have been wanting to go since Kekoa was born), Scott had Kekoa "walking", assisted of course. I was so impressed when I got home, he was really moving his chubby little legs forward on his own. He is so smart and such a fast learner. Uh oh, we had better get baby proofing our place! :)

I love your new hair mama!

Oh, I missed my mama while she was gone.
Here I go...
One step,
two step,
three step,
four!
No more walking guys! I'm so tired and hungry!
