Messy eater!

Kekoa is such a good eater. He just gobbles everything up. It is the most adorable thing how he opens his mouth and waits for the spoon full of goodies. He has become quiet an impatient little boy when it comes to waiting for his food. Tonight he was sitting in his high chair, banging, and talking me. I think he was saying, "Hurry up Mama! I'm hungry" I hope he doesn't take after his mama when it comes to being hungry. When I was a baby, my parents had to pour food down my throat with a coffee creamer to get me to stop screaming! They couldn't spoon it in my mouth fast enough. I love it how his food gets all over his face when he is eating dinner. Split peas, lentils, zucchini, whatever he is eating, gets all over the place. I hope Kekoa continues to be a good eater as he gets bigger because feeding him right now is a comedy show for me every night!

Food all over my face!

Are those pears?
Yes they are! Give them to me now daddy!
I said now!
My mouth is open super wide!
Yum, yum, pears.

Fun in the tub

Scott took the most adorable pictures of Kekoa in the tub on Saturday. I was so happy that Scott was home from work to take pictures. Every night in the tub, I want a camera to capture the silliness and cuteness of our chunka munk!
Kekoa is so comfortable in the water and just sits back and relaxes in his little chair. He loves playing with his little toys and splashing. Bath time is a very fun way to end our day and I get to relax in the warm water too.

Cheezy smile!
Going in for my toes...
Closer...
So close...
Delicious!
Little stinker!
Going for the toes again!

Hi mama!
My favorite bath toy, an orange fish! It makes really great sounds when I bang it against the shower door! Don't you love my rolls?

First swim lesson

Kekoa had his first swim lesson today. He absolutely loved it, felt right at home in the warm pool. It was so much fun being in the water with him and the other babies. I was so proud of him and how well he did. The first thing the babies did was to retrieve plastic balls in the water. Kekoa was so good at grabbing the balls out of the water, but not as excited about putting them in the basket. Kekoa then had to try and retrieve a plastic toy while I said "kick, kick, kick", over and over, and moved his legs in a kicking motion. I can't wait for him to really start kicking. He was pumping his legs in the water because he was so excited. Scott was able to watch from the side and take pictures.
Today was one of those really happy parent moments. Baby swimming lessons is something I researched even before Kekoa was born, I knew I would want to take my baby in the pool. It was such a fun morning for all of us. I've had a smile on my face all day just thinking about it.

All ready for the water...
How cute is my hair?
Getting in the pool...
I don't know about this mama.

I'm so good at grabbing the balls out of the water!
Look at how excited my teacher is for me!

Swimming toward the basket...Mom's proud of me!
There it is!
I don't want to let go of my ball, it is so tasty!
Mmmmm, look at my belly!
Here I am trying to get to my plastic toy. Mom keeps saying, "Kick, kick, kick", over and over.

There's that darn toy.A moment for kisses.
Kick, kick, kick, some more. I am so happy!
Yay, got it.

Let me see how it tastes.
Singing songs and being hoisted into the air.
Getting ready to swim on my back.
Under the styrofoam rainbow we go. Mommy is kissing my head so I'll tilt it back. I'm just so interested in the toy I'm holding, I don't even mind the water in my ears.
Hi daddy! I see you taking my picture!
So excited! I am having the best time in the pool!

Yay, ready for our next song.
Going up...
and up...
and back down with a big cheezy grin!

Laughing...

This is the best day EVER!
Last ones in the pool, I don't want to get out mommy!
Another smoochy.
Darn, swim lesson over.
My teacher is the best! He is holding me steady until mama can get out.
He loves me. Can you tell? Next week can't come fast enough!
