Yay!

Kekoa's new thing is raising both of his hands over head. He started doing it yesterday morning, before I have him breakfast. It is so cute, like he is cheering for himself! Today I was able to get some great pictures of him while he was playing with Octoblob. He has gone from gently playing with Octoblob to now throwing him all around. Amazing!
What is going on?
I love this expression on Kekoa's face.
Eating Octoblob!
Making rasberries....I get spit all over my face!
Practicing crawling...
Little rascal...

I love how in this video Kekoa finds the part of Octoblob he wants to suck on! What a smartie pants!

Sunday fun with Papa Beezy and Kaiwei

We had another fun visit from Papa Beezy and Kaiwei. Since it was such a nice day out, we went for a walk on the trail and headed to the park. Kaiwei is hilarious. He has to always be carrying something in his hands, a stick, a book....something. At the park he found an old sandcastle bucket that someone had left behind and decided to carry that around in one hand and a stick in another. He really wanted to play in the sand the whole time, but we convinced him to play on the playground too.
Kaiwei is also obsessed with books right now...can't get enough of them. My dad said at home, instead of a blankie of a stuffed animal, he goes to sleep with books all around him. Well, he is just in heaven at our place since we have children's books everywhere! We ended our walk with a treat of frozen yogurt. My dad and I take turns on who's buying...it is my turn next time! Thank you Papa Beezy and Kaiwei for visiting! We had such a fun afternoon!

First thing Kaiwei does when he comes over is gets comfortable with a book...
Peek a boo with Papa Beezy! Where's Kekoa?
Here I am!
Kaiwei trying to get into the picture!
Hmmm, whatcha reading?
Kaiwei has his eye on Kekoa's book, "Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?" He actually took this one with him to the park.
Kekoa can't get enough of his Papa Beezy. He just stares into his eyes. It is so sweet.

At the park...Kaiwei with his stick. Boy did he want to get in that water!
His other treasure that he found...the sandcastle bucket.
Having so much fun...

Kekoa couldn't stop touching Papa Beezy's face. He was grabbing his nose, cheeks, eyes, ears....

Lap time with mama

Sunday really was such a beautiful warm day. I'm so glad we were able to enjoy the day outside since it has been rainy today! Kekoa loves being outside. I took him out on the porch, in the toasty sunshine and played paddy cake (is it paddy or patty?), which is one of his new favorite things to do. His favorite part is the "roll it"...he just cracks up. Scott and I never get tired of playing with him, just to see him smile and so happy!

Paddy cake paddy cake, bakers man,
bake me a cake as fast as you can,
and roll it....

Sneaking in a kiss...
and a game of airplane...
Reaching for my toes...

This crib isn't so bad...

Kekoa is such a strong boy and getting so big. He can stand on his own in the crib, after we have propped him up! He is so proud of himself and loves looking around at the room from this standing view. Now if only he would sleep in the crib....

I'm a cool baby!

On Sunday, the sun was shining and it was just gorgeous out. Scott had the day off and we ventured downtown to farmer's market. Our little baby was so happy to have us both home and couldn't decide which toy he wanted in his stroller! He did get to wear his cool baby shades and I can't tell you how many compliments he got! The most amazing thing is that he kept them on.

Hmmm, which one do I want?
Thanks mama, the sun is so bright!
