Can you believe our little boy is already 6 months old? We can't! Every day our little Bam Bam surprises with us with how much he is growing and changing. He learns new things constantly. They say babies are like sponges, absorbing and learning everything around them and it is so true!
Kekoa can sit up really well now on his own and even plays with his toys while sitting up. When he is on his back, he has learned to curl up his legs and use his feet to help him play with toys! He just loves all his toys and anything that makes noise, like a rattle, he will swing in his arm and just laugh! He has gotten so good with using his hands too and can easily move toys from one hand to the other. We are lucky that he is able to play for awhile by himself.

He loves being read to and just this morning I saw him staring at the words in the book, Where is Spot?, trying to figure out what they were! He also really tries to talk to us and loves growling and when I growl back. We end up having a growling contest which ends up with both of us cracking up!
He now reaches his arms up to me when he wants to be held. It melts my heart every time. Friday night, when I came home he was on the couch and squealed with delight when he saw me, as he outstretched his chubby arms. I woke up to him this morning, staring at me. He had his soft, pudgy hands on each of my cheeks...so precious!
Kekoa really wants to be mobile. He tries to pull himself up when he is laying on his back, like he is trying to do a sit-up! It is only a matter of time that we will have a little baby crawling all over our apartment. My dad keeps telling us to baby proof and we keep putting it off!
Kekoa still isn't sleeping through the night, so we are just a little bit tired! :) He is a tough baby to get to sleep. I really can't complain though, since he is so easy otherwise. To get him to sleep, right now, he has to be bounced in a baby carrier. It has it advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that we can be mobile, we don't have to be at home for his naps. The disadvantages are that we don't get much done since one of us has to "wear" him.
Scott and I are having fun with our precious baby boy and savoring all the moments with him.

Kekoa loves Lulu the giraffe. I give him Lulu to play with in the mornings, while we are laying in bed. He likes to grab her, pull her to his face, and growl at her.

Hi Lulu!

I'll help hold the sign mommy!

But I really want to eat it! Yum!

With my buddy Gorilla!

Oh look, the sign again!

Holding hands with Gorilla! :)
