Chunka munka in the bath!

Kekoa had so much fun taking a bath at Papa Beezy's house on Thanksgiving. Jenny made sure to take plenty picture of the chubby baby while I'm getting him squeaky clean. Kekoa couldn't take his eyes off himself! Notice the cellulite on the booty! Don't you just want to pinch it? :)
Check out my watermelon belly everyone!
Meilani is such a great helper!

I love my chubby baby and he loves his baths!

Another bath time video...Kekoa is getting his funky hair washed!

A much better day!

These pics were take at Kekoa's new friend, James', house. He has a beautiful tree that Kekoa couldn't stop staring at.

Don't you just love Kekoa's eyebrows? He is so expressive with them!

Yesterday was so much better. Scott and I were very worried because Kekoa still wouldn't nap very long during the day. He was only taking little 30 minute cat naps!
After talking to many moms yesterday, I felt relieved to hear that this is very common for babies Kekoa's age. They start to get so excited about discovering the world around them and at all the new tricks they are learning to do. I guess the parents aren't the only ones that get excited that the babies are changing so much!
I was so worried about the evening, since Scott was at work and I was on my own. Kekoa was back to his old self, at least for the night. He went to sleep without being wrapped!! Not only did he not have to be wrapped, but he got the best night sleep ever! He went for a 4 1/2 hour stretch without waking up to nurse!! Yeah!
I hope today will be a good day too!

More new tricks...

I really can't believe how much Kekoa changes with each passing day. He is so much more interactive and is really playing now. He is over the "blob" stage of being a newborn!
It is the coolest thing to see him play with his toys. Today he grabbed a rattle, put it in his mouth, and was chewing it...it was the first time I had ever seen him do that...bring a toy to his mouth and chew!! He is also staying up a little longer between naps, which allows for more play time too. He was the most vocal baby today at our mommy group. He was talking so loud!

In this video he is reaching for his toy...I was trying to get him to bring it to his mouth, which he has done before.

In this video Kekoa looks like he is launching himself off the blanket.

Cranky Monkey or the Full Moon?

I sure don't look like I could be a cranky monkey!! I'm so cute! In the morning, I was in such a good mood! This is my little french boy outfit. Mommy saw it hanging in the store window before I was even born. She walked by it everyday for months and daddy finally convinced her to buy it. This will be the last time I wear it, since the buttons are opening up from my fat belly! :)

Yesterday morning started out like any other morning. Kekoa woke up, so cute...we played in bed, sung our songs, changed the diaper, all the normal morning stuff. The day ended up being the day where Kekoa decided he didn't want to sleep! He needs he naps! People seem to think if your baby sleeps less during the day, they will sleep better at night. This may be the case when they are older, but Kekoa definitely needs 3 good naps during his day, which he didn't get.
The night was even worse. Scott and I tried and tried to get Kekoa to sleep. I bounced him for about an hour in the Moby...it was like we had time traveled back to when Kekoa was a new born. It was the most difficult time I have had putting Kekoa to sleep...he finally fell asleep at 9:00...very late for him!
I thought, OK, since he is going to bed so late, maybe he'll sleep in...but no, he was up at 5:45 this morning. Was it the full moon or has his sleep scheduled changed?
I have been having a very tough time getting him to sleep the past few days. It has been a long time since I have had to wrap Kekoa in the Moby at night to get him to sleep...have we regressed? I sure hope not!
I hope today will be a better day!

Mom trying to get me to sleep in the Moby! Look at those sleepy eyes! This was before I was bounced on the ball for over an hour!

Mommy took this video in the morning. I am all chipper and full of energy!
