Kekoa goes back into the womb...

This is the magical Moby in action! Scott and I LOVE the Moby and so does Kekoa! He goes right to sleep, it is the best thing ever...and then I can be hands free too! Of course, I love to rub his little bootie. He sticks it out, just like he did when he was in my belly. Scott and I enjoy going on walks while Kekoa gets his sleep on in the Moby. This Moby was given to me by our friend Cheryl...a most useful gift!!

First outing...

Kekoa is changing so much everyday...it is really unbelievable. He is so strong and lifts his head up already. He is very alert and loves to look outside. His changing table is underneath the window. One of his favorite things is to lay on the changing table and zone out, as he gazes outside. His chin is becoming a double chin and is growing chubbier by the minute.
Today we had our first family outing to downtown Los Gatos. It all went very smoothly. It was a gorgeous, sunny, breezy day...not too hot, not too cold. It is really amazing how much stuff you have to bring to take this little one out! In between feedings, I packed his diaper bag and got all of Kekoa's "stuff" ready to go; the diapers, burp clothes, change of clothes, wipes, toys, blankets, bibs, beanies...the list could go on and on!
After finding parking, I put on the Moby and Scott got the stroller all ready, just in case. The stroller is more to store all the stuff! It is so much better to carry him in the Moby. He goes right to sleep and it just feels good to have him so close. People downtown were staring, wondering what I had underneath all that cloth. One guy even asked, "What do you have under there?" I replied, "My baby!"
Our first stop was Classic Kids, a portrait studio. Kekoa is going to have his portraits done on Wednesday. Next stop was the Apple store. It took us over an hour to walk less than 1/4 mile. We had to stop and have a bathroom break, then we had to stop so Kekoa could nurse, then another bathroom break. Scott found a nice little shady area with benches where I could nurse. Another mom stopped at a bench to nurse as well! My mom met up with us, at the shady benches, to visit Kekoa.
We finally made it to the Apple store and purchased our new laptop! :) Mission accomplished! It was so nice to get out of the apartment and spend some family time together.

We are on our way downtown...

How cute is my little outfit?

Our wonderful neighbor, fairy godmother Cassie, continues to take such wonderful care of us! She always asks us if we need dinner and will do laundry and always asks if we need things at the grocery store. Last night, we joined forces, and made turkey burgers. Scott put together the burgers and is showing Cassie how to BBQ on the grill!! She also continues to water my jungle that is out on the patio. Anytime we have a baby question, she is there to help. I don't know what we do without our amazing neighbors, both Cassie and her husband Brad, and their kindness. Here we are in front of the "Welcome Home" sign she made for us. Little Ava is quite intrigued by baby Kekoa. Thank you so much!!

No more umbilical chord!!

I'm a big boy!!

17 days old and its official...I have a real belly button now...no more black umbilical chord attached. Good thing, because that thing was really starting to smell and my mommy can't wait to give me a real bath in my new bath tub that daddy bought for me. It looks like a big blue whale!
